about

Altruist is Hatescape's second release from their upcoming EP "Tides Of Misery" There is also a film clip for this release on their YouTube channel as well. A synth driven, metal-core song following the battles of depression and anxieties that we all face in our day-to-day lives and trying to break free from them. Altruist is from their upcoming EP scheduled for release late July.

lyrics

When it feels like you’re losing your mind
You are never truly alone
All these voices inside of my head dissecting , degrading me, tearing me down

It’s like a war against myself, I’m stuck in the trenches
behind the enemy lines, don’t like my chances
you approach me, pure of intentions
You extend your hand, free me of my clutches

Selflessly
You liberate me
absolve the turmoil
No longer feel empty
You set me free

Walking over graves of the memories that I’ve buried
Digging for an answer that I know is ever resting

When it feels like you’re losing your mind
You are never truly alone
You found me broken and absent of hope
set me back on my path and away from the rope
